SCSU-Oxford partnership begins; students spending summer in England

South Carolina State University has entered into a partnership with St Hugh’s College of Oxford University in England.
Through the pilot Summer Chemistry Exchange Program, five S.C. State chemistry students will travel to Oxford to study at the institution’s Organic Chemistry Research Laboratory.

Dozens of kids are learning to stand out in their community, it's all apart of the Jo-Nathan Foundation's 'Be the Change' Leadership Camp this week. Friday, they received a message from a well-known home town leader, CNN's Bakari Sellers.

Former politician makes $5,000 donation to hometown

A former member of the South Carolina House of Representatives donated $5,000 to the Bamberg School District.
Officials with the schools say Bakari Sellers presented superintendent Dr. Thelma Sojourner a $5,000 check on Monday.
